Terms of service

Last updated: 03-10-2026.

1. Who we are

Arrel is distributed by Adrià Canal, tax ID 40451042-E, address Carrer Pere Serra, 11, 17493, Vilajuïga, Spain, and contact email support@arrelphp.com (hereinafter, "the Provider").

2. Purpose

These terms govern the license to use the Arrel framework, its code, its compiled assets and its documentation (hereinafter, "Arrel"), and the use of this website.

By purchasing a license, you accept these terms. If you do so on behalf of an organization, you declare that you have the authority to bind it.

3. License

The Provider grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use Arrel in the number of production applications included in your plan.

  • Each production application needs a license that covers it. Development and test environments do not count as additional applications.
  • The contracted period, which includes updates and support, is 1 year.
  • The number of applications, the price and the level of support of each plan are those shown in the pricing section of the website at the time of purchase: 29€ for the first year on the Sprout plan (1 production application, renews at 19€/year), 69€ for the first year on the Forest plan (unlimited production applications, renews at 49€/year).

4. Restrictions

You may not, without the Provider's written authorization:

  1. Redistribute Arrel's source code, in whole or in part, outside your own licensed applications.
  2. Sublicense or resell Arrel.
  3. Use Arrel in a product that competes with Arrel.
  4. Use Arrel in production in applications that your license does not cover.

Having access to the private repository does not by itself grant you any license of use. The third-party components that Arrel includes or requires keep their own licenses, which are listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md in the package.

5. Access to the code and updates

Access to the private repository is granted with a read-only token. You are responsible for keeping it secret. If you believe it has been compromised, tell us so that we can revoke it.

Arrel follows semantic versioning. Updates are included while the license is active; renewing it gives you access to the new versions published during the renewed period. The changes that can affect an existing application are explained in the documentation.

6. Support

Support is provided by email at support@arrelphp.com. Response time and scope depend on the contracted plan. A service level agreement only applies if it is stated in the plan or in writing.

7. Intellectual property

Arrel and all rights in it belong to the Provider. These terms do not transfer any ownership right to you, only the license of use described. The applications you build with Arrel and your data are yours.

8. Payment

The price of the license and the payment conditions are those of the contracted plan. Unless stated otherwise, the license renews for successive periods equal to 1 year, and you can cancel the renewal before the next period starts. We do not offer refunds on the initial license once access has been granted, given the price and the nature of the digital product. If the renewal is charged automatically and you notify us within 7 days of the charge, we refund it in full.

9. Warranty

Arrel is delivered "as is". The Provider makes a reasonable effort to keep it free of errors, but does not guarantee that it will work without interruption or that it is suitable for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the Provider's total liability to you for any claim related to Arrel is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. The Provider is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data or loss of profit.

Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot legally be limited.

11. Duration and termination

If you do not renew the license when the contracted period ends, you lose access to new updates and support, but you may keep using in production the version of Arrel you have licensed.

If you breach these terms and do not correct it within a reasonable period after the Provider's notice, the license is revoked: you must stop using Arrel in production and delete all copies of it.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The changes apply from the date of publication, and to ongoing contracts from the next renewal. If the change is substantial, we will notify you at the email associated with the license.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts of Figueres, unless the law imposes another forum for consumers.

14. Contact

For any question about these terms, write to support@arrelphp.com. See also the Privacy policy.
